I’ve been learning Korean for 2 years. My lovely 선생님 comes to my flat every week and we get to work.
Progress has been quite slow, partly because I’m rather old to be learning a new language - vocab drains from my brain like soup through a sieve - and partly because it is a difficult language, and the further one gets, the harder the grammar becomes.
My pronunciation isn’t great either, but when I speak Korean during our visits to that beautiful and fascinating country, people seem pleased and understand most of what I say (which is down to context rather than my pronunciation).
Anyway, I love the language and the country but I fear I will only be watching K dramas without subtitles on Netflix-in-the- Next-World.
