My French textbooks haven't been very interesting to me so I've been reaching for them less and less. Now that I'm using ChayGPT, I think I may try to use it to learn the grammar concepts in each chapter through example sentences.
That's always a risk with textbooks unfortunately and it's true I've heard French ones can be quite dry. I'd have recommended Assimil but I'm pretty sure you're pretty far above its level already.
You could indeed use ChatGPT to learn grammar patterns. I know you already have textbook study and grammar pattern for your November board but how about using ChatGPT to see patterns related yet with different underlying meaning? For instance in French, the nuance between "savoir" and "connaître" or others like this.
That's a really good idea! I've been using ChatGPT to correct my writing but I think using it to learn grammar would be more engaging than a textbook. Thanks!
I will do you one better, I love the smell of the books :-)
